War Maker, založený na skutočnom príbehu palestínskeho umelca Karima Shaheena, je cestou do Karimových snov a bludov. Dielo spája vizuálne umenie a nové médiá s dokumentárnym a objektovým divadlom. Po živote v prebiehajúcom exile stojí Karimov život na križovatke, kde samotné predstavenie odráža jeho zničené vojnové spomienky. Bol Karim War Makerom?

Od roku 2015 si Bábkové divadlo Dafa v Jordánsku a Českej republike vybudovalo reputáciu vďaka svojej evokatívnej estetike, kvalite rozprávania príbehov a spoločenskej angažovanosti. Tento viacnásobne ocenený súbor cestoval po Európe, USA, Juhovýchodnej Ázii a Arabských krajinách.

Po predstavení sa uskutoční komentovaná výstava artefaktov z predstavenia.

Imagine that wherever you go, war follows you. Does that make you a war maker? That's the question posed by the director of the multidisciplinary theatre piece War Maker - Husam Abed, who won the Best Direction award for his original work's metaphorical portrayal of the theme of war on stage.

War Maker, based on the true story of Palestinian artist Karim Shaheen, is a journey into Karim's dreams and delusions. The piece combines visual art and new media with documentary and object theatre. Living in ongoing exile, Karim's life stands at a crossroads, where the performance itself reflects his shattered wartime memories. Was Karim a War Maker?

Since 2015, Dafa Puppet Theatre in Jordan and the Czech Republic has built a reputation for its evocative aesthetic, storytelling quality, and social engagement. Dafa has toured in Europe, the USA, South East Asia and the Arab World.
